Design Ideas: Transforming A Master Bedroom

in Master Bedrooms
 how to transform this room

This master bedroom has many great features.  It’s big, with high ceilings, and lots of windows. But it needs the help of AskDecor.  We can imagine this being an elegant, grown-up retreat.

Increase Scale: This room would benefit from larger scale furniture. Move up to a king size bed with presence. Make this a retreat by adding plush, upholstered chairs and an elegant side table.

Create Ambiance: Add mood lighting with a chandelier, larger bedside lamps, and recessed lighting on dimmer switches so you’ll look gorgeous!

Add Layers: Soften the space with full length drapes hung near the ceiling for the larger windows. Consider mixing it up with London Shades on the smaller bedside windows. Add a colorful area rug to anchor the seating area.

Change Colors: Create a more soothing retreat with soft, soothing spa colors.
