3 Step Plan For Storing Holiday Decorations
Packing up holiday decorations is always a chore. Try these ideas out to make next year’s unpacking easier.
1. Take digital photos of where you put things this year. You can decide later if you want to make some changes for next year and reference these pictures to refresh your memory.
2. Get rid of any decorations that you don’t love or don’t need. Why take up storage space for something that doesn’t work well in your home?
3. Pack things together by location and include a note on top of the contents in each box with where the items go. Next year, decorating for the holidays will be faster without having to remember where things go.
As you’re putting things away, take a good look around your rooms. What needs to be updated? Where do you need some designer help? We will be running a contest in January to help you solve your design dilemmas. Keep checking this blog for more details.

Have you thought about making your bookcases more beautiful?
Try these 3 designer secrets to create eye catching bookcase arrangements in your home.
1. Change the background color of your bookcase with either paint or fabric. Pick a color that will coordinate with the rest of the room. Using fabric is easier than you think. You can mount fabric to poster board with spray adhesive and position it into place with a little bit of earthquake adhesive.
2. Create symmetrical arrangements by stacking some books and placing unique objects on top of them.
3. Consider breaking up all the books with a framed piece of art hanging in front of your bookcase as shown in the picture above.
